Beutler Film Developer
Will Beutler’s two part solution compensating high acutance film developer.
Recipe
Mix chemicals in the listed order. Make sure each chemical is completely dissolved before mixing the next one. Mix a pinch of the sodium sulfite before mixing the metol. Be careful to add the sodium carbonate slowly while stirring as it reacts with the water.
Concentrate A

Concentrate B

Usage
Prepare a working solution of one part A, one part B and eight parts 20 °C water just before use.
Starting development times:
- ISO 25-50 films process for 5-10 minutes
- ISO 64-125 films process for 7-10 minutes
- ISO 400 films process for 9-12 minutes
Comments
Solution A keeps 6 months in full glass bottles. Solution B keeps a long time.
